END OF THE DAY AND DISMISSAL
Just a reminder that our school day ends at 3:40 pm. Unless for an appointment, or other extenuating
circumstances, students are not to be picked up at the beginning of recess (3:30pm). Should you need to
pick up your child early, please send a note in to your child’s teacher. We are noticing that the number of
calls being made into classrooms in the afternoons for early pick-ups is increasing. These calls pull our teachers
away from their teaching and interrupt the learning of the students. We are asking for your cooperation and
understanding in limiting the number of interruptions to our classes, especially at the end of the day.
If your child normally takes the bus home and is not on any given day, please be sure to
send a note in your child’s agenda. In the event of an emergency, it is crucial that we
know which students are on the bus going home and which have been picked-up at the
end of the day. Thank you for your cooperation and support in informing the office.
