Tuesday, February 13, 2018 is Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Tuesday. Pancakes will be served to students on this day. More information to follow.
As Ash Wednesday occurs on February 14th, 2018 we are not able to celebrate Valentine’s Day on this day. Ash Wednesday is a Holy Day in the Catholic Church and is a day of abstinence and fasting. Our Valentine’s Day activities will take place on the 15th. We will be observing Ash Wednesday on the 14th, rather than Valentine’s Day.
On Thursday, February 15, we will be having a school dance hosted by Fresh Radio 93.1 as a result of our food drive campaign "We Scare Hunger". Thank you to our Social Justice group for organizing this activity in October, to all our families that helped and supported this important activity by donating much needed food for those in need in our community, and to Fresh Radio. Yet another example of how St. James School is the small school with the BIG heart!
